I went to have computer engine diagnosis for my car, they put the car in the shop for almost one hour, after that, they came to me with estimate of $400 repair for a sensor never have aprblem with.I did not ask for repair, I asked only for diagnoses, they did not give me diagnosis result, when I i asked, the gave a peice of paper printed some code , no engine analysis, no emassin, no evap , I asked the technetion for explanation, he can not answer. I was watching when he disconnect the mass air flow which make came as trouble code and ask me to repair it for arroun $400, I just paied $75 for diagnosis
Note: I have a scanner at home, I work in my car, I knew how they lied to me, and I know I will never go to precison tune anymore or anyone I know.

Awesome Technicians

My husband and I were out of town looking at a used car on Saturday . My husband heard and unusual sound and wanted to find a place to put it on the lift. The car finally found an open shop-Precision tune in Hickory/ Conover North Carolina. The staff were Professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They were quickly able to tell us where the noise was coming from and helped Us negotiate a better price on the car.We would highly recommend the shop to anyone needing car repairs. The technicians were honest and professional.

Ripped off on brake service

I took my car to get brakes on mountain industrial in stone mountain, ga. I was told i needed brake pads, this was may 2, 2018. I paid over $200 for pads, i was as told i didn't need rotators at this time. I go get a oil change from nissan dealership in august 2018, i aas informed that i need rotators! Which was going to cost me another almost $200 not even 3 mths later. I was hot! So i call precision tune back and was explaining what i was told by dealership and why asked why weren't my rotators and braje pads done together! I don't have another $200 to spend so close between. I am on social security disability! I asked did the tech do testing on my rotators to see how much thickness they still had on them. This so called mgr. Her name is Amber told me the tech looked at my rotators and to him they didn't look like they were worned down! There is no test done to see how far tour rotators have worned. Ok,, even at that, i should have been asked if i wanted to replace both at the same time which i would have done since i had the money then. Now, my brake pads are warranted, so i basically have to go back there or i will have to pay for brake pads somewhere else!!! Total rip off! Whatever you do, don't go to Amber who is not a mgr and those ratchdd techs working at precision tune on mountain industrial in stone mountain, ga!

Bad Workmanship on my car No Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Several years ago I had my care in for service. They said I needed a rack and pinion replaced. It was a bad tie rod end. Big bucks in a rack and pinion, not so much for a tie rod. My girlfriend had her car in for a oil change. They had no problem trying to sell her a gas and air filter but she left the place with two real low tires. They told me she received a basic oil change which did not require to check air pressure . Next time she came in was to fix a nail in her tire. She came in with a low tire pressure light and left with a bad tire sensor light on. I said they broke the sensor off when they broke the bead on the tire. They said they did not do it, that the sensor was already laying in the tire. My girlfriend took the car to Honda and they replaced the sensor for $150. I took my car in to have my headlight haze cleaned with a "Groupon" They did a bad job. They told me they do not give me a full service headlite cleaning with a Groupon coupon and would not redo the headlite job. I went back there again and got the same answer. Called Corp. headquarters and they did not do anything either. I'm not sure Precision Tune is a good place to do business with so be aware!!! Thanks. Jim Precision Tune: Spring lake Park, MN

Horrible Experience - Duluth & Lawrenceville auto shops

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
3/26/18-Took vehicle to Precision Tune, Duluth due to check engine light & running rough. Mechanic called, vehicle needs tune up. After tune up, mechanic said vehicle still running rough, ignition coil needs to be replaced. They did work, received call, still runs rough. Mechanic thinks it is fuel pump related. Replaced fuel pump. Received call, during fuel pump replacement, battery died. Without my consent, put new battery in. Mechanic said will waive labor to offset cost. Battery replaced was only 1.5 yr old. 4/5/18-Mechanic called, vehicle ready to go. At 4:30PM, Mechanic called in sorrowful voice asking if I'm on my way. He said truck not running right as he drove out of garage. Asked to keep it a few more days to figure out what's wrong. They already had vehicle for 9 days. I gave them a surprise visit. I started my vehicle, it ran worse than when I took it to shop. It was running extremely rough, engine light on, back-firing. I'm upset! Mechanic said it could be transmission related. I just replaced transmission 26,000 miles ago. Asked to see certifications, one mechanic said he is not certified, but he knows everything. Both mechanics looked like teenagers fresh out of HS. I asked to speak to GM. GM is at different shop location. On phone he said one employee could drive vehicle to other shop 10mi away. After thinking it over, they could do more damage by driving truck to other shop and charge me for it. Had really bad vibes about whole company, decided to pay over $1100 and drove my truck, worse than before, 3mi to Tires Plus, could not drive over 35mph, back-firing, emergency lights on. Tires Plus corrected issue in two days. Tires Plus (TP) corrected tune up done incorrectly, plugs/wires in wrong order that caused back-firing. TP replaced fuel pump. It was wrong fuel pump for vehicle. Initial problem of check engine light was due to fuel injector, and not related to anything Precision Tune worked on. Paid TP $700 for fuel injector and $700 for fuel pump replacement. Other parts on vehicle affected after Precision Tune job: radio not working, blown fuse. Contacted Precision Tune GM, ask refund for faulty, guessing-game work done on vehicle. GM very defensive, not apologetic in any way. Said there is no correct order for wires/plugs. LIE. GM refused to do anything. When I told him that I have no other course but to take legal action, he said he'll call me back. I haven't heard from him ever since!

Got my car tuned up and after I left my engine light came on,got it checked and it was cylinder #5 misfiring, then loss of power light came on he couldn't figure out how to fix it so he killed the code, before I got home it came on again, also my brackets where not fasten back on along with my intake hose, left. A rag under my hood, and loss of power was cause by a rubber gasket that was missing in the back of the intake manifold, which I replaced along with fasten the brackets myself.

Today the electrical in my car stopped working, completely. My car was repaired on Saturday, 4 days ago, at Precision Tune on Nine Mile Road in Pensacola. I looked under the hood and there were hoses not connected. Although this wasn't the reason for the problem it did demonstrate a terrible job. This is the second time I have taken the car to them and come home with additional problems after getting home. Something that was done on Saturday was not correctly connected. That was very obvious. However, when I had the car towed back to them today to have them fix it they found a different problem. I do not believe you. I do not trust you. I am a small business owner, and I can't imagine having to create problems for my customer in order to make money. There are many places to get a car fixed. Precision Tune on Nine Mile Road is not the place to go.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
went to precsion tune in Clinton Md for A Maryland State inspection that i needed for a car I purchased in Virginia. precision tune said i needed hood struts at $199 Rotars for rear and brake padstotal 369.00 plus 20 for reinspection. I went home with inspection report instead of having them complete work. i found out the hood struts cost 19 dollars everywhere and they snap in. i went to my family mechanic for the rotors and pads only to discover the pad and rotors on the car are new. i documented everything with pictures etc... what a rip off artist. Bad buisness and robbers. trust is key with business. These guys are not trustworthy on any level. Stay far away!!! Ninja

I returned He then told me I needed a ignition coil. 65.74. I asked before are you sure oh yes. My grand daughter was with me and heard this. We lefted I was taking her home and back on. I headed back pissed off. He couldn't understand why. He checked it out and said he forgot to set the code. I lefted come home. I went to church tonight and guess what it's back on. I asked him yesterday to do know how to fix it and he told me yes. Now tomorrow is Thursday and I will be back up there. This started Monday and all I am doing is forking out money.
