Verified Reviewer | Norcross, GeorgiaBAD SERVICE
My experience started when I called multiple locations to see if they can fix my front passenger wheel bearings. A few locations told me their machine was broke or they were extremely busy. Finally I spoke to the Forest Park location and they informed me they were able to complete the services. I arrived there, they pulled my car in the garage, then told me their machine was broke after a 20 minute drive to them and a 20 minute wait.
I then drove 35 minutes to the Norcross location and they fixed the car. I paid $195 in labor fees. As soon as I got on the highway, my bearings were louder than before they repaired them. Before, my bearings only made noise when I turned right, now it was also making noise when I drive straight.
I drove 30 minutes to go back the next morning. The employee that installed the bearings test drove the car with me so they could see how it was performing. They then proceeded to tell me it was because the part was defective. They said they would have to take the part off, then I take it back to Autozone to get it switched, then I would have to pay another $195 for labor. I had to fly out of town that day, so I told them would come back the day I get back in town.
I returned to Precision Tune, Wednesday, June 30th. They removed the part and I took a roundtrip Lyft to take it to Autozone. Autozone stated to me that the part wasn't taken off correctly, it was stilled compressed. They gave me a pliers. I attempted to take it apart. I even took it outside and banged on the concrete. After 5 minutes of trying I realized I was going to have to go back to Precision Tune. When arriving I was upset and asked for the manager. I attempted to ask for some type of discount because this was getting ridiculous. I believed them when they told me the part was defective, but now I'm thinking if they couldn't uninstall it correctly, maybe they didn't install it correctly.
With condescending comments the Manager told me it's easy to take apart, I should of been able to do it myself. Laughing! *** attitude! Walks off and says this is easy to do. I let him know I'm not a mechanic, I'm paying for service. When he comes back he laughs and says, look that only took 1 minute. Look how fast I did that. I'm furious at this point and he ask me "Why are you fussing? What do you want? "You want a discount, fine I'll give you a discount when you check out! That's easy, no need to yell in front of customers." I let them know I had to spend over $70 on Lyft because of the incompetence of their employee not taking the part off and apart properly.
I proceeded to take another Lyft to Autozone. When I arrived back I was attempting to give the front desk attendent, Anita, my part. She had the audacity to tell me to take the part in the garage to the employees. A garage that has cars in the air, fire being used, equipment everywhere. WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS? I told her that's major safety issue. I'm not going in that garage. I was furious, reiterating to her I'd been dealing with this for hours and just spent over $70 on Lyft. I am paying for service. She ask the employee in the office behind her to come take the part. He answered "yeah." Then for the next 10 secs I watched him still sitting at the desk with his feet up on the desk, scrolling through his cell phone. I finally screamed "Is he coming to get the part or is he going to continue to sit at the desk with his feet up on his cell phone?"
Once the car was completed, I asked about the discount and Anita said, "I don't know anything about a discount, he didn't tell me and he has already left. I can give you $10 off!" I pay $184 and when I get to the highway the new wheel bearings are even louder than the older ones. Neither times after they installed the bearings did they test drive the car to make sure the part was correctly installed.
I continue to call the corporate office and leave messages. They finally got tired of me calling and Darryl tells me they can't force the district manager to reach out to me, it's their choice. They also said they reached out the franchise owner and he said he doesn't plan to do anything about it.

My total out of pocket expense is 76.00. $50 for not doing anything and because it took them 2 days I lost my ride and had to take an Uber to work and the Fitzgeral auto..Not a lot of $ to some but it's a week of groceries for me. And I still had to start over and pay another deductible to a business who did fix it.
